The velvet curtains from the “En fil d’dienne” brand are simply magnificent. The other ranges are as well but my preference is undoubtedly for the “Médicis” range.
These curtains are already blackout due to its cotton lining and its velvet veil inside. On one side the cotton velvet, behind the beige cotton lining and in the middle, the famous velvet veil. This serves to further protect the curtain from solar and lunar UV rays.
The detail that makes the difference is the raw linen border all around the curtain. The top border is dotted with brass-colored eyelets, with rings of the same color. The color of the linen border with the rings and eyelets, plus the cotton lining allow you to have this magnificent tone on tone of beige, natural.
If you want a pair of velvet curtains in autumnal colors, why not opt for Médicis Tabac. For a winter color, you could mix Cactus green with Chili pepper red. For spring, the soft Powder or Lemon color would be ideal. In summer, you can go on the Canard or the Orange which are very successful. Finally, if you want neutral and chic interiors, don't hesitate to hang curtains in Beige, Mouse or Anthracite Velvet on your rod.
Recently, we dressed a house with a monochrome color scheme that used absolutely the entire range of the Medici Velvet “In Indian Fil” curtain. All colors were used and the quality of the rendering was there.
To conclude, I could just say that not only is a beautiful velvet obviously pretty in a house or apartment but above all the velvet curtain (even more so when it is lined) provides much greater warmth than the others materials such as linen or cotton for example.
