Putting cushions on your sofa has become a must! Whether your sofa is small or large, having linen cushions or velvet cushions doesn't matter. The only difference will be the number to put depending on the size of your sofa.

Mixing velvet and linen is even beautiful, the only concern we'll have is getting the colors right.

We'll start with a few examples of the most frequently purchased sofas.

On a charcoal gray two-seater sofa, we could go with six to eight cushions maximum. With a very dark gray sofa, the choice of cushions is quite wide, we could put three Harmony velvet Jungle cushions, the three colors of the collection for example. Let's go for a Jungle 45x45cm Celadon, a Jungle 40x60cm Pétrole and a Jungle 45x45cm Absinthe. To break up the print overload, we'd add some plain linen cushions. So we'd put a linen cushion 40x60cm Viti Absinthe, a Viti linen cushion 45x45cm Bleu de Prusse and to finish our combo of six cushions, a final Harmony linen cushion 40x60cm celadon.

On a three-seater sofa in greige (a mix of gray and beige), we could imagine the Monkey velvet cushion collection with plain Propriano linen cushions. Eight or ten cushions would be just the right number. There are three Monkey velvet cushion colors: Bronze, Prussian Blue and Granite. On our neutral-colored sofa, we'd have no problem choosing the three colors from the Monkey collection, mixing the 2 sizes, 40x60cm and 45x45cm, and we'd use plain Propriano linen cushions (stitches more stretched than Viti and not fringed, unlike Viti), mixing rectangular and square shapes. We could install a cushion in Harmony Granite, Bronze, Larch, Absinthe, Prussian Blue, Peacock and Fauve linen.

Last sofa example, a five-seater corner sofa in brown leather. Why not add a Giant Delhi velvet cushion this time. The Delhi collection is a collection of solids. We could start with two Harmony Delhi cushions measuring 55x110cm. Let's also dress it up with two Delhi 55x110cm Bronze or Fauve (your choice of tone-on-tone). Once this base has been laid, we can opt to complete the spaces with small Hindi Harmony printed cushions, which would look great. We could easily use all three colors: Fauve, Charcoal and Indigo. As with the previous examples, let's mix up the sizes, of course, with two 40x60 linen cushions and one 45x45 or the other way round (it doesn't matter).

We could have gone with hundreds of examples, the decorating possibilities are endless. That's why we love it. There's no one decoration better than another, it depends on our tastes.
