Linen or velvet curtains?

Rideaux Lin ou Rideaux Velours ?

How do you choose your curtains? More complicated question than it seems for many people. Do we want to hang linen curtains or rather velvet curtains?

The first piece of advice I could give is first to know the purpose of the curtain itself. Do you want a light curtain, not too heavy because the room is warm enough and you want to see your garden designs through the linen curtain.

If so, Harmony Viti linen curtains would be a good choice for you. Viti Harmony linen curtains are very simple and pretty, they are light with a very tight weave. It's a linen sheet with eyelets quite simply.

If you want the curtain to be even lighter, you can opt for the "En fil d'Indienne" Brise linen sheer. The Brise linen curtain is gorgeous, edged in raw linen and studded with eyelets in raw linen.

Finally if you want a much denser linen curtain, you should opt for the Harmony Propriano linen curtain. A beautiful washed linen with 500 grams more linen than the Viti and a much wider weave where you can see the linen weft very well!

To sum up, choosing a linen curtain is a choice to have a lighter, airier room.

If you want to warm up your room, to have a much more "cocooned" room, you could opt in this case for beautiful velvet curtains.

There are two possibilities:

- The Harmony Delhi velvet curtain, a beautiful 3-meter-high cotton velvet curtain with eyelets. The Harmony Delhi velvet curtain is pretty and simple, Harmony's trademark.

- "En fil d'indienne" velvet curtains sounding like the obvious second choice. They have 3 ranges of the same incredible price. The Rolls Royce of velvet curtains! The Lyric range is one with eyelets and taffeta lining, the Tosca range is it with gold rings hung in little holes and a liberty cotton lining, finally the Médicisrange, with the raw linen border dotted with eyelets and a beige cotton lining. Obviously these are all cotton velvets.

The velvet curtains from the "En fil d'Indienne" brand are more expensive because they're lined with gorgeous fabrics and a few extra details ( the Medici, for example).

The Médicis curtain has an extra velvet veil between the lining and the velvet itself, very small. This serves to further protect your velvet curtain from solar or lunar UV.

The curtain is often the last thing you choose in your room. It's the last detail that can change everything. Be relevant when choosing between velvet and linen curtains.
